GYM ETIQUETTE

Scan your membership card when you walk in.

Wear proper sneakers....no flip flops or work boots!

Don't wear wet or muddy sneakers on the gym floor or on the equipment....bring dry ones.

No cell phones please.

NO gum chewing!!

Don't wear perfume or cologne!!!!

Use deodorant....please.

Leave gym bags, purses and man-bags in the locker room.

Keep iPod's at a reasonable volume...WE don't want to hear it too.

Don't hog all the machines...use one piece of equipment at a time when it's busy.

Don't "steal" other peoples weights. 

If you need a machine that someone is using, ask them how many sets they have left (see next line).

Don't interrupt someone in the middle of a set...wait until they're done.

Let people work in if you are doing a lot of sets.

Wipe down machines immediately when done.

Don't throw or drop your dumbbells...they will break eventually.  Besides, it's annoying and you could crush a toe.

Strip the weights off when you're finished.

Don't stand in front of someone using the mirrors...mirrors are not just for vanity reasons.

Don't bother people with headsets on...they have them for a reason...like "Don't bother me!"...unless they're hogging a machine.

Limit cardio to 30 minutes a machine during busy times.

Don't walk around the locker room naked.  Cover up.  You may be comfortable, but others may not be.
